Rescue story

Dobbie came to us as one of nine. Nine donkeys, one home, one woman who loved every last one of them. Then life changed on her in a way she could not plan around, and she had to face the fact that she could no longer give them what they needed. She could have let it go on too long. People do. Instead she picked up the phone and asked for help, and she sent all nine of them here together so they would be safe and so they would not be split apart. That is the ultimate act of love. It costs the person everything and it saves the animal everything, and we have a lot of respect for the ones who choose it. Dobbie is a mini, he is in the main pasture, and he came here already knowing what it feels like to be somebody's.
