What you get for supporting us
Not a tote bag and a form letter. A donkey you know by name, cameras you can point across the pasture yourself, and an honest view of an ordinary day at the farm. From $10 a month.
Why memberships
Your membership is the budget
Hay, farrier visits and vet bills arrive every month whether or not a large donation does. Memberships are what let us plan for them rather than hope, and they are the reason we can say yes when someone calls about a donkey who has run out of options.
So we would rather give you something worth having than ask for charity. Everything below is a real part of the sanctuary, opened up to the people paying for it. Adopting one of the crew starts at Donkey Parent Club; the cameras and the sanctuary updates start at the bottom tier.
Everything included
What turns up, and when
Each one says the cheapest tier it comes with. Every tier includes everything below it, so moving up adds rather than swaps.

Hay Hero and up
All three live cameras
Cash's pasture, the feed pen and the fixed 180° lens, running around the clock. The pasture camera tracks the animals by itself, so there is usually something to watch.

Hay Hero and up
Exclusive Patreon content
Behind-the-scenes photos and video posted to Patreon: new arrivals, vet visits, farrier days, and the ordinary business of the sanctuary that never makes it to the website.

Hay Hero and up
A thank-you from Cash
An email from the donkey the sanctuary is named after. He dictates; somebody else types.

Barn Crew and up
Point the cameras yourself
Take a turn and send a camera to any of the saved views. One person at a time, and if nobody else is waiting the camera stays yours as long as you like.

Barn Crew and up
Monthly group Zoom call
A live call with the people who feed and care for the herd. Bring questions, meet whoever wanders past the camera.

Donkey Parent Club and up
Virtually adopt a donkey
Choose one of the crew, give them a name that sticks, and follow that animal specifically. Your name sits beside theirs on the herd list.

Donkey Parent Club and up
The Cash's Crew paper
A real printed paper, mailed to your door six times a year. Who arrived, who recovered, what the season did to the pasture.

Donkey Parent Club and up
Monthly newsletter
An email round-up of the month on the farm, written by the people who were there for it.
Barn Backstage and up
Your name on the barn wall
Painted onto a hand on the barn wall, where every visitor to the sanctuary walks past it.
Barn Backstage and up
Come and meet them
Once a year, your choice: a free farm tour for you and a guest, or two tickets to Cash's birthday party in May.
That is the lot
Memberships start at $10 a month and you can change or stop yours on Patreon whenever you like.
Before you join
The practical bits
Can I change tier or stop?
Any time, on Patreon, without asking us. Your access here follows within a few minutes either way.
Where does the money actually go?
Feed, bedding, farrier and vet care first, then the fencing and shelter that let us take more animals in. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Leoma, Tennessee.
Do I have to adopt a donkey?
No. Plenty of supporters are here for the cameras and the updates. Adoption opens up at Donkey Parent Club if you want it.
What if I want to actually take one home?
That is a different thing entirely, and we do it. It needs land, shelter and a pair rather than a single donkey.

Come and see what the herd is doing
The cameras are the easiest place to start, and the donkeys are usually up to something.
