Rescue story

Echo is Lettie's mama. For a long while that is exactly how she was listed in our notes, and there is something honest about it. She was the one who belonged to the baby everybody was besotted with. The baby got the attention and Echo got on with the work. We do not know where the two of them came from. No history arrived with them and none has surfaced since. But she raised that foal here and she raised her well, and Lettie turned out to be everybody's favorite for a reason. Some of that is just who Lettie is. A good bit of it is Echo. She is a standard donkey in the main pasture and she is available for adoption. She has earned somebody looking at her first for a change.
