Rescue story

Pippi came to us from a kill pen in Texas. She is blind, and so is Freckles. The two of them met in that pen, and they had all of two days together before they shipped out to us. Two days was all it took. They bonded for life and they have not been apart since. Neither one of them has ever seen the other. They know each other by voice and by nearness, and that has been enough. Where one goes the other follows, and not once have they needed to be told to stay close.
