Rescue story
Tex came out of Texas with his mama Houston. The two of them were dumped at auction, which is what happens to a great many good animals when somebody decides they are not worth the trouble. A baby donkey at an auction is a hard thing to see. There are only so many places that road goes and most of them are bad. But his mama stayed with him and we got them both, and they came here together. Houston is still with him and she is still watching over him the way she did from the start. He is a Texas donkey with a Texas name and a life nobody at that auction would have guessed he was going to get.

Tex is looked after with the help of Amanda, whose monthly support pays for feed, feet and vet care.
