Rescue story
Winnie is a hinnie, which means her mother was a donkey and her father was a horse. Half mini horse, half mini donkey, and entirely her own thing. She came to us as one of nine from a single home. Their owner was facing a major change in her life and could no longer care for them, and rather than let that slowly become a bad situation she surrendered all nine of them to us together. That is the ultimate act of love. It costs the person everything and it spares the animals everything. Winnie came off that trailer with her whole herd and she still lives alongside most of them.

Winnie is looked after with the help of Janis, whose monthly support pays for feed, feet and vet care.
